The Convocation of Seminole War Historians is a Tri-annual event held at various historic Seminole War battle sites where those interested in the Seminole Wars gather to participate in thought provoking presentations and displays while learning about the Seminole Wars from a more in depth perspective.
The Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists are honored to present this year's Convocation of Seminole War Historians on April 1, 2, & 3 2022 here in Jupiter.
This will be the third bi-annual Convocation of Seminole War Historians in Florida. We will be showcasing all of the hidden historical gems Jupiter has to offer while providing an unforgettable weekend of education, community and immersive history.
The fee includes Friday Night Reception, lunch on Saturday and a continental breakfast on Sunday as well as admittance to all presentations and displays at the session.
On Friday 2:30pm-4:00pm we will offer an exclusive Tour of the Pioneer DuBois House built on top of an ancient Native American midden. This private tour will be led by our own local author, member, Dubois Docent and friend Donna Adair. Friday evening we will begin our Convocation with a welcome reception on the beautiful grounds of the Jupiter Civic Center 351 Old A1A, Jupiter, FL 33477 later that evening. Saturday will be filled with historical presentations, eccentric art and unforgettable guests at the Jupiter Community Center. Sunday we will take you on a journey back in time to a sacred place at Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park. Wrapping up a memorable weekend with distinctive speakers followed by exclusive tours of the Battlefields and grounds.
