The Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists are now offering year round Educational Programs for all ages and groups. We are a living history presentation with artifact exhibits!

Pioneer Living

Join us for our annual Farmstead and Pioneer living days. Learn about the history of Florida through living history; this includes artifacts and demonstrations of a sawmill, gardening, pioneer smokehouse and sugar cane press.

Florida's Ancient Tribes

School Programs and events teaching and remembering the Ancient Tribes of Florida and five thousands of years on the Loxahatchee River. Immersive living history, artifacts and thought-provoking. This is fantastic for 4th & 8th graders, complementing their Intro to Florida History and U.S. History Curriculum.

U.S. Soldiers and Tennessee Volunteers from the Seminole Wars

Our living history re-enactors are excited to educate you on the time period clothing, accessories,  weapon details and demonstrations to give you the fullest experience and understanding of the past.

1838 Battle of the Loxahatchee

See authentic artifact displays from the battles that occurred in 1838 right on this land, complemented with Living history, educational battlefield tour and presentations.

Artillery

Transport yourself in time and learn about the weapons used with these time period artillery and musket demonstrations.

Nature and Environmental Programs

Combine any of our educational events with an environmental or nature program. Some programs to peak your interest: Orienteering, Dip Netting, Reptiles & Amphibians, Naturalist Hiking tour from the park and more!
